FULTON – The Fulton Family YMCA’s successful Cornhole Tournament returns Sunday, June 7 at The Yard at Lakeview Lanes, Fulton for its fourth year of fun and fundraising to help the community. Foster
Funeral Home, Fulton Savings Bank and Lakeview Lanes are major sponsors of this year’s event.

The tournament is for people of all skill levels, from amateurs out for a fun afternoon to league players who want another outlet for their passion. The tournament is double-elimination, meaning that all entrants will play at least two games. The event begins at 11 a.m. Registration is $50 per two-person team and can be done online here or in cash in person at the event. Food and beverages are available for sale at the event.

Funds raised at the tournament will benefit community members who use the YMCA for child care and education, health and wellness and community interaction. Many YMCA members receive scholarships to make their cost of membership affordable.

“You don’t have to be a pro to play in this tournament. In fact, you don’t need to have ever thrown a cornhole bag before. Amateurs play against other amateurs and skilled players play against each other. We hope you’ll find a friend and come out to have a fun afternoon and help us help our neighbors,” said Mike Smith, vice president of the YMCA Board of Directors and the tournament’s organizer.

The Fulton Family YMCA is part of a powerful association of men, women and children committed to bringing about lasting personal and social change. With a focus on nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the community’s health and well-being and providing opportunities to give back and support neighbors, the Y enables youth, adults, families and communities to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
