FULTON – At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club meeting, Rotarian Linda Eagan introduced Hailey Thompson, a 21-year-old from Oswego who has become a leader and activist for youth among other causes.

Recently, Hailey was recognized by the Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee with the Paul Santore Award for Outstanding Youth.
Hailey spoke about her passion for helping others and is involved in current programs with the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and is also on the Oswego County Opportunities Crisis and Development Board, helping people through prevention, intervention and skill building services.
To quote Hailey, “I believe if you care about something, you need to say something about it and she does what she does because she cares about people.”
The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Mimi’s.
