HANNIBAL, NY – Hannibal High School’s drama club, Purple Gallery, will present “Cooking Can Be Murder” by Eddie McPherson on April 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. in the Lockwood Auditorium.
This parody murder mystery is a silly comedy filled with puns, gags and ridiculous situations.
Contestants in the annual Remington County Fair Cook-off competition become suspects for murder after famous chef Mr. James Casanova Valentino Bond (Sami Eddy) dies while judging the dishes prepared.
Detective Rufus Annette Biddle (Amanda Kimball) tries to unravel each contestants’ motive as she works to solve the crime.
Meanwhile, Master of Ceremony (Maria Przepiora) helps to direct the reenactment team through a portrayal of the stories in a most entertaining way.
In the end the audience might be shocked when they find out who the murderer really is!
Admission to the event is $5 and refreshments will be offered.
