Cooperative Extension to host Regional Master Gardener Certification Training


MEXICO, NY – The Master Gardener program of Oswego County provides training to individuals, who, in turn, use their knowledge to work with Cooperative Extension office to extend information throughout their communities. Master Gardeners are united by their love of gardening, and their desire to share their knowledge with others.

In order to maintain Master Gardener status, there is a volunteer requirement through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County.

A regional training is being sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension in Oswego, Onondaga, and Oneida counties, with meetings in each county and some by videoconference.

Sessions will start February 12 and will take place Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m. through April.

Cost to participate in the training is $200.00 and includes the Master Gardener Manual.
