OSWEGO, NY – When the audience watches the Oswego High School production of “Crazy for You” they will delight at the acting and singing, but what won’t be considered by many theatre goers are those behind the scenes.

The music of George Gershwin and lyrics of Ira Gershwin highlight this year’s production which will be held at the Oswego High School Ralph Faust Theatre of the Performing Arts on Feb. 5-6 at 7:30 p.m.

Among the lead rolls in this year’s production are (front) Elizabeth Richmond, Aryelle Caruso and Kaela Shafer while in back are Shaughnessy Darrow, Raquelle Moreau and Cali Harrington.

Lighting and Scenic Design Director Stephen Braun said, “We have had tremendous support from students, staff, parents and community volunteers.”

For months Stage Director Eve Phillips and Music Director Veronica Shaver have been working diligently with a dedicated cast to get the lines and songs ready.

Another major portion of the show is the dancing.

This is one of the most demanding shows in recent years and dance fills the stage.

Veteran choreographer Laurel Artz has had the feet dancing since November in preparation for this two-performance show.

Sound design has been created by T.J. Bandla while Bethanie Wright is the stage manager.

The assistant stage managers for this year’s show are Alex Wetter, Kiersten Neacosia and Emily McCabe while Taylor Braun is the deck manager.

Handling the properties are Roxanne Scoville, Terilyn Pospesel, Keegan Taylor, Kennen McBrearty and Nikki Snow.

Tyler Vosseller is the master carpenter.
