OSWEGO, NY – Now through November 17, the Oswego Public Library Art Gallery features the works of Eileen Belaska Sprague.
Ranging from landscapes to flowers, boats, and city scenes, Eileen’s art is bright and vibrant.
Eileen creates all the seasonal displays at the library’s circulation desk and adds individual flowers or leaves with the names of staff and volunteers.
Her work area at the library features a seasonally decorated fir tree and other fun ornaments and hangings.
Eileen has knitted scores of baby hats for the nursery at Oswego Hospital and has mailed handmade woolen hats for our troops overseas along with supplies they could use through a pen pal exchange program.
These few things mentioned only scratch the surface of this generous lady.
She has donated many of her works to our Children’s Room so feel free to look at more of her artwork on our upper level.
When Eileen’s show leaves the gallery, we will welcome a half dozen different artists for a holiday show.
Be sure to stop by to enjoy the great art and possibly purchase a piece from Eileen or our other artists.
Oswego Public Library is open 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday and noon – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
We will be closed November 11 for Veterans’ Day, November 28 and 29 for Thanksgiving and December 25 for Christmas.
We will have shortened hours on Christmas Eve and close at 3 p.m. that day.
The library is located at 120 E. Second St.
