OSWEGO – Tom Briggs is proud to announce his cast for the Oswego Players’ production of “What the Rabbi Saw.”
He describes the play, written by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, as vintage comedy full of silly madcap antics at a rapid-fire pace that all take place the night before a big wedding.
And the cast is a wonderfully talented mix of new and familiar faces to the Frances Marion Brown Theater.
Heading this talented group of actors will be husband and wife team, Nelson and Sherri Metz as Mr. and Mrs. Kirschenbaum, parents of the bride, Wendy, played by Rachel Torba-Grage.
Wendy’s husband will be will be played by Matt Fleming another familiar face to local audiences.
Don DelPriore and Victoria Echard take on the roles of the Best Man, Mitch, and Maid of Honor, Claudia.
Audiences will enjoy the antics of these four characters as secrets get revealed as the play unfolds.
And what would a farce be without a cast of characters that round out the the wedding party.
We have Noel, the Wedding Planner, played by Pablo Mendoza and Lainie, the Wedding Singer. Beth DeRousie and Alysa Hosenbarker will share the stage on alternate nights trying frantically to choose just the right music for this most unorganized wedding party.
Peter Mahan, well-known Oswego Player, steps into the role as the Wedding Photographer and Josh DeLorenso returns to the FMB stage in a new role as Vinnie, the uninvited guest with a few laughs of his own.
And wait until you meet Rabbi Huchelman, the totally confused and naive creation of Norman Berlin III.
