OSWEGO TOWN, NY – State Police in Fulton are investigating a one-vehicle, fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday (May 25) at approximately 8:11p.m.

The collision occurred on Hall Road in the town of Oswego, approximately one half mile east of Chapel Road.

Dennis J. Malone, (12/27/85), 19 Hatteras Landing, Hampton, Va., was driving his 2013 Ford Fusion at a high rate of speed on Hall Road in a westerly direction, when he lost control and exited the north side of the roadway, according to troopers.

The vehicle traveled through a dirt field before striking a tree line off the roadway.

Malone was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His passenger, David A. Cole, (6/21/55), 260 Chapel Road, Hannibal, was ejected and suffered internal injuries.

Cole was transported from the scene to Upstate University Medical Center by Medivac.

Initial investigation has determined that unsafe speed contributed to this collision.
