FLS Sixth Graders Recognized for Academic Achievements

OSWEGO – As the school year wound down the Frederick Leighton Elementary School recognized numerous students including all of the sixth graders who advanced to continue their academic career at the Oswego Middle School.

Several students were recognized for their dedication to education and as a result earned recognition from the President’s Education Awards Program.

Two Frederick Leighton Elementary School sixth graders received the Triple “C” Awards from the NYS Office of Attorney General  as Jason Proud and Benjamin McPherson were honored.  Gathering are Mrs. Proud, Jason Proud, Mr. Proud, Frederick Leighton Principal Julie Burger, Benjamin McPherson, Mrs. McPherson and  Abigail McPherson.

Students earning “Outstanding Academic Excellence” certificates included Gillian Clark, Zoe Clark, Connor Joyce, Margo McBrearty, Jason Proud, Jeremy Swistak, Neel Tripathi and Vlad Volkov.

Receiving “Outstanding Academic Achievement” certificates were Nicholas Back, Julia Falanga, Alecia Fuentes, Benjamin McPherson, Spencer Kielb, Hannah Wise and Isaiah Wiseman.

Principal Julie Burger congratulated all students for their accomplishments and wished them well on their continuing education years in the Oswego City School District.

Sixth graders from Laurel Artz’ class included Nickolas Back, Joshua Carroll, Andrew Davis, Julia Falanga, Joshua good, Raelynn Hill, Dakota Ingersoll, Spencer Kielb, Benjamin McPherson, Dominque Monahan, Ivy Perry, Jason Proud, Destiney Richards, Dalton Riley, Luis Rivera, Jeremy Swistak, Abhijit Tripathi, Vlad Volkov and Quintin Westberry.

From Carolyn Dehm’s class were Allen Brooks, Madeleine Cali, Jarrod Casey, Gillian Clark, Zoe Clark, Nathaniel Cook, Anisha Derosa, Maverick Dorgan, Sierra Ermini, Haley Horn, Connor Joyce, Dalton Kent, Krista Kraft, Bradley Liverman, Margo McBrearty, Britney Merrill, Sabrina Ouderkirk, Nathan Parrott, Alysah Perez, Dillon Pollock, Jonathan Smith and Hannah Wise.

Catherine Kelly’s sixth graders advancing included Cameron Adams, Taylor Barlow, Raymond Class, Destiny Cruzado, Thomas Davies, Alecia Fuentes, Shamirrah Harris, Liana Haskins, Cristobal Hernandez, Michael Kinney, Brian Lebron, Seth Partridge, Joseph Pulver, George Rice, Hannah Richards, Madalynn Swan, Ashley Waldron, Jacob Wise, Isaiah Wiseman and Zakaria Woods.
