The Fulton Library is celebrating the 180th birthday of Andrew Carnegie (November 25, 1835).

The Fulton Public Library, a gift from Andrew Carnegie, was opened in February 1906.

Today the building is listed on the New York State and National Register of Historic Places.

Library director, Betty Mauté, said, “We hope this will become an annual event and that the community will come to meet the library staff and trustees.”

Music will be provided by the Oswego Valley Snowbelters barbershop quartet, “Classic Touch” a male chorus and “Concinnity” a women’s vocal ensemble.

These singers are donating their talent to help us celebrate in style.

They all find joy in singing and are always looking for others of like mind.

Tickets are available at the library and from any library trustee.

Call the library for more information at 592-5159.

Pat Kush, event organizer and trustee, want to invite everyone to help recognize the contribution of Andrew Carnegie to the city of Fulton and surrounding communities.

Guests at the gala wine tasting must be 21 years of age or more.
