Fulton Man Killed in Camillus Work Accident

A Fulton man died Thursday when he fell off the roof he was working on.

The Camillus Police Department reports that Harvey J. Seymour, III, 46, of 511 Cayuga St. was working on the roof of a home at 66 North St. in the village at about 3:05 p.m.  Seymour was with a contracting company called Landscaping A-Z, police said.

He fell off the roof as he was placing shingles.  He fell about 30 feet and suffered a severe head injury.

WAVES ambulance took him to University Hospital in Syracuse, where he died from his injuries.

The police investigation continues, as does an investigation by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
