The U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division Band from Fort Drum and the Fulton Community Band will perform a free concert in honor of Veterans Day, on Sat. Nov. 12, sponsored by the Fulton Music Association (FMA); it was announced by Steve Chirello, president.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the G. Ray Bodley High School auditorium. The Fulton Community Band and the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division Band will perform two separate programs and combine for several numbers.”
Selections scheduled for performance by the 10th Mountain band are: Liberty Fanfare; National Anthem; Variations on a Shaker Medley; Hero by Mariah Carey with vocal by Staff Sergeant Wolfe; God Bless America; Saints; Duty, Honor, Country; and God Bless the USA. The 10th Mountain and Fulton Community Band will together perform: Liberty Bell March, America the Beautiful; Armed Forces on Parade; and Stars and Stripes Forever March.
The Fulton Community Band will perform: Silver Quill March; Roll Tide (from the movie, Crimson Tide); Victory at Sea; American Anthem; and Light Eternal.
The 10th Mountain Division Band is based out of Fort Drum, NY and is Commanded and conducted by Chief Warrant Officer Two Timothy F. Wallace. The Band has recently returned from a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where they performed throughout Afghanistan for
U.S. military and Coalition forces from over 35 nations. These professional Soldier-Musicians are trained and ready to deploy anywhere in the world.
Stateside, the musicians of the 10th Mountain Division Band provide a wide range of musical entertainment for the Soldiers, as well as for the citizens of the North Country. In addition to Marching and Ceremonial Band, the 10th Mountain Band can also field an array of diverse performing groups such as: Rock Band, Jazz Combo, Dixieland Band and Brass Quintet.
