Fulton Police Officer Injured During Overnight Arrest


FULTON, NY — A Fulton Police officer was injured during an arrest overnight (Jan. 19) on the city’s east side.

Fulton Police received a report from a citizen of a subject entering vehicles in the 900 block of Cayuga Street.

Several officers responded to the area and immediately engaged the male in a foot pursuit through several back yards.

The suspect was apprehended and identified as Dennis J. Ross, 18, of South Seventh Street in Fulton.

Fulton Police Officer Jeffrey Margrey was injured during the arrest and was transported via ambulance to Upstate University Hospital, where he was treated for a shoulder injury and released.

Ross was charged with Petit Larceny, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree, and Assault 2nd degree, a class C felony.

He was arraigned in Fulton City Court by Judge David Hawthorne and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center in lieu of  $5,000 cash/ $10,000 bond.
