FULTON, NY – The thunder, power and speed of the fastest dirt race cars on the planet are coming to the Fulton Speedway on Wednesday, July 23rd. On that day Tracey Road Equipment – A-Verdi Storage Containers and McDonalds Restaurants presents the ground shaking STP World Of Outlaws Sprint Cars along with the ‘Salute To The King.’
This will be your last chance to see ‘The King’ Steve Kinser, the 20-Time STP World Of Outlaws Champion at the Fulton Speedway. Kinser announced prior to the 2014 season this would be his last season traveling the tour.
In 36 seasons to go along with his 20 titles coming into 2014 ‘The King’ has racked up 576 A-Main victories at 142 different race facilities.
“We’re really excited to make one more run at a World of Outlaws championship,” said Kinser, who celebrated his 60th birthday on June 2. “Racing with the Outlaws has been my life for almost 40 years. It’s all I’ve known. My family has been around it. I’ve had the pleasure of running up and down the road racing all across this incredible country, and even in Canada, Mexico and Australia with this series. I knew it wasn’t going to last forever. I feel like we have a great team here capable of winning a lot of races and challenging for the championship this year.”
When it comes to toughness no sanctioning body is tougher than the World Of Outlaws as they have over 90 race dates crisscrossing the country and Canada without fancy team planes and being away from home for long periods of time on the road.
Coming to the Fulton Speedway along with Kinser will be some of the best known 410 Sprint car drivers in the nation who follow the STP World Of Outlaws Tour. Led by 2013 champion Daryn Pittman and current points’ leader Donny Schatz, others drivers set to do battle are Paul McMahan, Joey Saldana, Kerry Madsen, Brad Sweet, Cody Darrah, Kraig Kinser, Sammy Swindell, Jason Sides, David Gravel, Logan Schuchart Jacob Allen, plus invaders looking to take the top-prize away from a World Of Outlaws regular.
The popular $1,000 to win Industrial Tire Of CNY Sportsman Championship Qualifier will also be in competition on the ‘High Banks’. Up for grabs will be a guaranteed redraw spot for the 50-Lap-$2,500 to win Industrial Tire Of CNY Sportsman Championship during the Outlaw 200 Weekend October 2-3 at the Fulton Speedway.
