HANNIBAL, NY – The historically known Hannibal Hotel has been chosen as this year’s item to be depicted on the Hannibal Historical Society’s 2013 Christmas ornament.
Originally, the building was known as the American House, was later changed to the Hannibal Hotel and recently opened as the Village Tavern.
The pewter ornaments are part of a series, of historically depicted remembrances, that the Hannibal Historical Society plans to have.
Last year’s ornament was the Baptist Church, which is now the Library/Community Center.
The ornaments are priced at $15 each and have a brief history on the back side.
Anyone wishing to obtain information about the ornaments may do so by contacting Ann Mahaney at 564-5658 or attending any of the Historical Society’s meetings.
