Lost to the Age
The Oswego County Historical Society will host its annual meeting and keynote presentation on May 19. A presentation entitled “Oswego’s Legacy: Lost to the Ages” will be given by author and historian Dr. Robert Perkins. Pictured is a vintage image of the Oswego Shade Cloth Company, formerly located at East First and Utica streets. This business was formed in 1872 by prominent local citizens, and was the first and largest company in the United States that produced window shades.
