Katko Announces District Office Locations, Names Additional Staff

SYRACUSE, NY – On Friday, Congressman John Katko announced the locations of his four district offices:

District offices in Onondaga and Cayuga counties will be staffed full-time. Regular, weekly office hours will be held in Katko’s satellite offices in Wayne and Oswego counties.

Katko also named newly-hired members of his staff:

Zach Howell, legislative director: An experienced aide with a broad legislative issue portfolio, Howell joins the Washington D.C. staff of Rep. Katko. Howell will leave his position as a legislative assistant with Rep. Ron DeSantis (FL-6) to develop and implement Katko’s legislative priorities. Prior to his position with Rep. DeSantis, Howell served as communications director in the office of Rep. Kay Granger (TX-12) and as press secretary in the office of former Rep. Ben Quayle (AZ-3). He previously served as the chairman of the College Republican National Committee. Howell is a graduate of the University of Utah.

Timothy Wang, legislative assistant: Wang joins the Washington, D.C. office of Reo. Katko with experience previously working for Rep. Michael R. Turner (OH-10) and former Rep. Ben Quayle (AZ-3). Wang has gained extensive experience working with national security issues and will provide expertise aiding Katko in his role on the House Committee on Homeland Security.  He is a graduate of Texas Christian University.

Jordan Lane, executive assistant: Lane joins the Washington, D.C. office of Rep. Katko with experience working for Rep. Bill Huizenga (MI-2) and Rep. Duncan Hunter (CA-52). Lane will manage all scheduling inquiries for Rep. Katko for both his district and Washington, D.C. offices. Her professional experience also includes serving as an administrative assistant for Sony Pictures and as a regional political coordinator for the Republican National Committee. Lane is a graduate of The Master’s College in California.

Kevin Gannon, staff assistant: A Syracuse native and recent graduate of Hobart College, Gannon joins Katko’s Washington, D.C. staff from the office of Rep. Tom Reed (NY-23). Gannon has previously worked for his family-owned business in Central New York and in the alumni relations office at Hobart and William Smith colleges.

Christina Cornell, constituent service representative: A lifetime resident of Cayuga County and graduate of SUNY Cortland, Cornell will leave her position at the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce to join the office of Rep. Katko as a constituent service representative in the Cayuga County district office. Cornell previously worked in the office of Assemblyman Gary Finch (126th District).

Theresa Robinson, staff assistant: Robinson is a Baldwinsville native and graduate of Bryant and Stratton College, where she was trained as a paralegal.  She began her career as an administrative secretary at Solvay Electric and served as Katko’s volunteer coordinator during his campaign. She will be based in Katko’s Syracuse office.

Katko announced the appointment of members of his senior staff early last month.

He will hire additional constituent service representatives, including at least one veteran, in the coming weeks.
