Under the direction of Amy Price, Richard Mosher and Adam Scmidtmann, the cast ranging in age from 6 to 15, began meeting in early January not only taking on acting roles, but also every aspect of the production from stage managing to costumes, props, lights, sound and promotion as part of the complete theatre experience.
The first project was to design the production poster.
Anika Archer’s graphic design was chosen for the poster that will be distributed throughout the community.
With auditions in the very first class, character roles were quickly assigned for each student.
Cast as the title character, Tom Sawyer, Matthew Oldenburg is familiar to Oswego County audiences. Matthew began acting at 6 years old and has been seen in the last four Harborfest shows, The Sound of Music as Kurt, as Colin in OHS Secret Garden, and most recently as Ollie in Yes Virginia…the Musical at CNY Arts Center.

The cast will be joined by highschoolers Mikayla Stoutenger as assistant stage manager and Mark Parry on lights.
