Kids take to the skies

The Hawks R/C Junior Aviators are beginning their 13th summer flying season this year teaching kids and young adults how to fly Radio Control model aircraft.

We’re looking for several additional youngsters like you who have an interest in things that fly.

The Hawk’s program is provided free of charge to local youth in the greater Oswego County area.

There is no equipment to buy and there are no hidden obligations or responsibilities. All the equipment necessary for flying is made available to use thru the Hawk’s program. Flight instruction is all hands-on under the guidance of our volunteer flight instructors.

Flight training begins with loops, rolls, split-S and Emmelmann turns, tail slides, inverted flight, and much more, finishing up with takeoff’s and landing’s. How fast you learn and what to do with your new flying abilities is all up to you.

The Hawks program is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3, youth oriented, R/C flight training program located in Fulton.

Flight training takes place during June, July, and August at the Oswego Valley Modelaires R/C flying club field on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. at the Radio Aero Modelers of Pulaski.

The OVM field is located behind the Don Butler youth soccer fields off Chase Road in Fulton. The RAMS club is located on east side of Route 3 about 7/10 of a mile past the intersection of Route 3 and Route 104B, look for the small sign.

The Hawk’s program is supported by donations and is sponsored in part by Redneck hobbies in Baldwinsville.
