Lakeside Artisans’ member Ames Earns Top Honor At Art Show

OSWEGO – The 61st Central Adirondack Art Show at The View in Old Forge brought a first prize award to local Lakeside Artisans’ member Tim Ames.

Ames’ acrylic painting, “Cafe Joy,” was awarded this honor in the Acrylics, Oils and Pastels division.

Ames has won many awards in the past with the Art Association of Oswego, the Fulton Art Association, Salmon River Fine Arts Center, Central New York Art Guild, Rome Community Art Center and the New York State Fair.

“I’m thrilled. What an honor!” said Ames, whose work is on display at Lakeside Artisans along with 15 other artists.

Ames will be teaching a class in Beginning Acrylics, at Lakeside Artisans on July 17, from 2-5 p.m.

Artists Jeanne Dupre and Michele Southgate, also from Lakeside Artisans, have artwork in the Central Adirondack Art Show, as well as local artist Rose Besch.
