Texas Roadhouse Lassoes United Way As Their Local Charity of Choice

Representatives from Texas Roadhouse join United Way board members and volunteers as Justin Haus (Managing Partner) presents UWGOC Executive Director Patrick Dewine with a check for $4,659.84 from the restaurant’s recent soft opening in support of the organizations campaign.

OSWEGO, NY – Texas Roadhouse in Oswego, NY recently held their grand opening for the public to experience and enjoy their southern hospitality and extensive menu. As part of their preparation with the staff, the company held an invitation-only ‘soft opening’ to provide the employees a chance to train live by preparing and serving community leaders, friends, and family. In the spirit of sharing their mission and culture, it is customary for the restaurant chain to connect with a local charity within that community by offering support through their beverage sales. United Way of Greater Oswego County was fortunate enough to be recognized as their charity of choice to benefit from the two-day event.

“Texas Roadhouse is thrilled to be imbedded in the Oswego community, providing local residents the experience to enjoy all of the legendary menu items and unique atmosphere we have been known for across other markets,” said local store marketer Alexis Hulbert. “Our company feels it is equally important to support the communities that support our operation, and knowing the good work and broad reach United Way has across Oswego County, we felt it was the ideal organization to support,” added Hulbert.

Texas Roadhouse presented a check in the amount of $4,659.84 to United Way of Oswego County, which was a result of beverage sales and donations collected from the soft opening. “We were honored and thrilled to be the charity of choice when the restaurant reached out to us,” stated Executive Director Patrick Dewine. “To be recognized by the company on this level will be pivotal in our organization’s ability to continue providing funding to crucial programs that our most vulnerable population relies on,” said Dewine. United Way Board President Dick Delaney added “Partnerships like this is what builds stronger communities, and we look forward to working with Texas Roadhouse in the years to come.”
