SUNY Oswego’s Leadership Oswego County, a program of the Office of Business and Community Relations is starting recruitment for the class of 2010. The program has been in existence since 1992 and prepares a select group of county residents to become the community leaders of the future.

This group embarks on a nine-month course of intensive study of leadership skills, Oswego County and its resources, vital issues of today, and visioning for tomorrow. The members start with a Retreat, which will be September 17 and 18th this year, and then meets the first Friday of each month for a day of community exploration and personal development.

The program is supported through sponsorships from Entergy, Operation Oswego County, National Grid, Pathfinder Bank, Fulton Savings Bank, Oswego County Federal Credit Union, Vickery Insurance, Oswego County Business Magazine and Ameriprise Financial Services. This support makes available scholarships to provide access to participants from all levels of the community.

Applications are currently being accepted with a deadline of July 31, 2009, and can be found at the SUNY Oswego web page link; http://www.oswego.edu/about/centers/cbcd/loc/index.html or by contacting the SUNY Oswego Office of Business and Community Relations at (315)-312-3492. The program is open to anyone over 21 years old, who lives or works in Oswego County.
