OSWEGO, NY – Kathy Fenlon, Lakeside Artisans’ fabric purse and bag artist, will teach a child’s tote bag class on September 27 at 10 a.m.
Learn to make a cute versatile tote bag perfect for a child or young teen.
Class participants will choose from a large variety of fabric and create their own unique tote.
There are lots of ways to embellish the bags, there will be an assortment of ribbons, trim, rick rack and buttons to decorate the bag.
This is an easy sew project, participants should have basic sewing machine skills (know how to thread the machine and go forward and backwards).
Students may bring their own portable sewing machines if they have one.
A machine will be provided for students who do not have one to bring.
This class is for adults and kids.
If a young person is not familiar with using a sewing machine, they must bring an adult with them who can help with the machine.
Once students make one to take, they will want to make more to give as gifts!
Written instructions will be provided so students can easily make more totes at home.
