The Friends of Oswego County Hospice will host its second annual “Lights of Remembrance” memorial tree lighting on November 29 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Oswego County Federal Credit Union on Scenic Avenue in Mexico.
The tree lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m.
“We hope that people can take some time out of their busy holiday schedules as we pause to remember those special people whose spirits will forever fill our hearts,” said Debbie Bishop, Friends of Hospice executive director.
Oswego Middle School’s Con Brio chorus, under the direction of Paul Brewster, will perform holiday music at the tree lighting and light refreshments will be served.
Memorial ornaments for the Lights of Remembrance tree are available for purchase.
A glass praying angel, new for 2012, is $15; a blue nylon beaded butterfly is $15; a locally made crochet star is available for $10; and a glass lighted angel is available for $25.
Each ornament will bear the name of who it is in memory of.
Ornaments can be purchased from the Friends of Oswego County Hospice.
They will also be available for purchase at the tree lighting ceremony.
All money raised through the ornament sale will help support Oswego County Hospice patients and their families.
