Two men with connections to Fulton are in the news elsewhere today.
We’ll start with Ray Rogozinski, who graduated from Fulton schools. The Bradenton Herald catches up with Rogozinski after an impressive bit of golfing luck.
We’ll let writer Jason Dill tell you about it:
Ray Rogozinski registered his third hole in one earlier this month — that was something special.
But then he did it again, a week later.
And the Bradenton resident didn’t just record his third and fourth career holes in one.
He did it at the same course on the same hole.
Rogozinski said he played football and basketball in Fulton. He moved to Sarasota, Florida and learned to play golf while running a golf-themed restaurant there.
Meantime, those who follow the local business scene will remember the name Sim Fryson.
Sim operated a GM dealership in Fulton before landing in South Charleston, West Virginia, running the state’s only Acura dealership.
There were a few stops in between, says the State Journal:
His comeback was enticed by an opportunity to acquire a Beckley-based Acura dealership, which he relocated at the South Charleston location vacated by Holland’s former Chrysler showroom.
“It’s in my blood,” he said of the business. “Really, I think it was meant for it to happen.”
