The Oswego Maritime Foundation is offering a fun fishing program for the second year in the Historic Maritime District.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â The “Learn To Fish” Program is for boys and girls ages 5-8 years old. Each course lasts for one week (4 days) and is held from 9-11:30 or 1-3:30 Monday through Thursday for a total of ten hours during August. Topics covered are:Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Safety, Knot-tying, Weight/bobber Selection, Handling/unhooking fish, Casting technique and Fish Identification. The cost is $40.00 per child. Students are encouraged to bring their own lifejackets and rod/reel however gear will be available for novices. No prior experience needed for this shore-based program.
