This workshop will be held at the H. Lee White Museum and Maritime Center on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Master puppeteer Joe Cashore will discuss and demonstrate to the audience how he designs and manipulates his marionettes to give them human-like movements.

His eye for observation has allowed him to create life-like puppets that tell stories, some whimsical, some more emotional, drawing the audience into the experience.

“Cashore incorporates the realities of our life experiences into his puppet tales,” said Mercedes Niess, executive director of the Museum and Maritime Center.

This program is in partnership with the SUNY Oswego Artswego programs “Simple Gifts” and “Life in Motion” scheduled for September 7.

This program is geared for adults and youth ages 9 years and up.

Space is limited; to reserve a seat, contact the museum at 342-0480 or [email protected]
