Meth Lab Busts Reported In Albion, Amboy

OSWEGO – On Monday August 22, at approximately 5 a.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed a methamphetamine related search warrant at 441 S. Albion Road in the town of Albion.

As a result of the search warrant execution, materials and equipment used to manufacture and possess methamphetamine were seized, police said.

In addition, approximately 5 ounces of “methamphetamine oil” and 13 marihuana plants were seized, according to the report.

Rebecca L. Dana, 34, of 441 S. Albion Road in the town of Albion was arrested and charged with:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree – Class AII Felony
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony
Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Class A Misdemeanor
Unlawfully Growing Marihuana – Class A Misdemeanor

The Endangering the Welfare of a Child charge is based upon the allegation that a child under the age of 16 was present for the other listed alleged criminal activities.

Dana was arraigned in Scriba Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail.

Another Arrest

On Monday, August 22, at approximately 5:30 a.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed a methamphetamine related search warrant at 31 Nichols Road in the town of Amboy.

As a result of the search warrant execution, materials and equipment used to manufacture and possess methamphetamine were seized, police said.

In addition, a small amount of methamphetamine was seized, according to the report.

Gene L. Vincent, 34, of 31 Nichols Road in the town of Amboy was arrested and charged with:

Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree – Class A Misdemeanor

Vincent was arraigned in Scriba Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 secured bail bond.

The two investigations are not connected.

The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, U.S. Border Patrol, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
