OSWEGO, NY – This is the final week for the community to take a chance on winning a pair of deck chairs designed in the style of those used aboard RMS Titanic.
The H Lee White Marine Museum is offering these chairs as a fund-raiser for the museum.
“What a wonderful way to relax in a ‘Titanic’ way this summer with your very own elegant lounge chairs. They would look great by the pool or on your patio. They also make a great gift,” said Mercedes Niess, executive director of the museum. “We have even sold tickets to people in Ohio who found out about them online.”
This pair of exquisite deck chairs is valued at nearly $1,000.
They are made of brass hardware, solid teak wood with a naturally rich honey color and sanded to a smooth finish.
Chair backs and armrests adjust to three positions for lounging comfort and folds neatly for easy storage.
Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at the marine museum or The Picture Connection at 169 W. First St., both in Oswego.
They will also be available at the Oswego Farmers’ Market Thursday.
“The winner does not need to be present to win.” said Donna Kuhn, museum board president. “There are only a limited number of tickets for sale. The drawing will take place on June 30 at 5 p.m.”
