The Attic Teen Center at the First United Methodist Church, 1408 St. Rt. 176, Fulton (across from the Jr. High) invites all youth in the community, grades 7-12, to participate.
Our first meeting will be on Oct.2 from 6-8 p.m. This meeting will focus on friends and peer pressure. Meetings will be held on the first and third Sundays of each month and led by Rev. Mark and Lynne Kimpland.
During the Attic Meetings, the youth will participate in team building activities, discussions and thought provoking exercises taken from two books: “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” and “The 6 Most Important Decisions You will Ever Make” written by Sean Covey. Youth will also participate in community service projects and missions.
On Oct. 16, our meeting will focus on school and the importance of sticking it out, secrets to getting good grades and reasons to go to college.
Youth are asked to bring a snack to share. For more information, please call the church office at 315-592-7347 or visit www.fultonfumc.org.
The Mission on the Attic Teen Center is to empower youth to recognize their potential, initiate social responsibility and develop leadership skills through recreational, spiritual and educational programs.
