Burritt Motors has just launched “The Mechanix” interactive service department website (www.themechanixgarage.com) as an enhancement to their dealership site and outreach to customers, it was announced by Chris Burritt, owner of Burritt Motors Chevrolet-Buick in Oswego.
“The Mechanix is accessible directly at its URL or through our dealership site (www.burrittmotors.com) and it opens up a whole new world of convenience and assistance for our customers’ service needs for both domestic and foreign models.
“For example, customers can schedule their service appointments online and they’ll receive e-mail ‘reminders’ once they have an appointment. Once registered, they’ll have a personalized menu tailored to their vehicles’ make and mileage. This way, both our customers and our factory-trained and master technicians have an intimate knowledge of each vehicle’s history.
“ Our customers are keeping their cars longer and we want them to get the most from their cars as long as they own it. Our motto: ‘Long Live Your Car’ is more than a phrase. That’s why we created the High Mileage Club (HMC) for vehicles with 75,000 miles or more. For a one-time charge of $15, HMC members receive: 10% off all maintenance and repair visits; oil changes with High-Mileage oil at no additional charge; free towing in a 25-mile radius of the dealership; $250 off a vehicle purchase at trade-in (with continued maintenance at The Mechanix for at least one year in the club); and a special HMC key chain.
“We even guarantee the lowest price on tires on all major brands. If a customer finds a lower advertised price in the newspaper we’ll refund the difference.
“We’re also delighted to introduce our free ‘Ask The Mechanic’ feature. Send us any maintenance question and we’ll respond within 24 hours?even if you’re not scheduling service or a current customer.”
The site also provides service maintenance menus, appearance care services, and access to parts and accessories. Burritt’s service department is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Sat. from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Burritt Motors’ history dates back to 1955 in Hannibal when Chris’ grandfather, Elmer O. Burritt, purchased a Chevrolet franchise that he operated until 1963.
To expand in a larger market, Chris’ father, Richard, purchased the assets of a Chevrolet dealership that had been located on Oswego’s East Third Street. About a year later, he built the present dealership on Rt. 104. The dealership celebrates its 56th anniversary this year and can be reached at (315) 343-8948, or at www.burrittmotors.com
