Fatal Accident in Oswego County In The Town of New Haven

OSWEGO COUNTY – On September 26^th, 2025, at around 5:31 PM, members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Mack Road, Pleasant Point Drive, and County Route 1 in the Town of New Haven.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2017 Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle was traveling west on County Route 1 when it was struck by a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pick-up truck that was traveling northbound onto Pleasant Point Drive from Mack Road. The operator of the pick-up truck, 24-year-old Dylan Mannise, of New Haven, sustained minor injuries.  The operator and sole occupant of the motorcycle was identified as Jerry Davis, who was transported to Oswego Hospital, then transferred to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, where he was later pronounced dead.  Jerry was 60 years old and a resident of Palermo.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, New Haven Volunteer Fire Department, and McFee Ambulance.

The incident is still under investigation.
