Fulton Man Arrested Eight Times By Oswego County Sheriff’s Office This Year

OSWEGO COUNTY – On June 18, 2020, members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron Vanvorst, 30 years of age and from Fulton, New York,  for Grand Larceny in the fourth degree, Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the third degree and two counts of Petit Larceny.

This is the eighth separate incident in which the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office had charges for Vanvorst this year.  He was yet again released on an appearance ticket.

Vanvorst was arrested for Grand Larceny and Criminal Mischief as a result of an investigation where he stole and damaged a trailer and a snowmobile on May 3 in the Town of Palermo.  Both of these stolen items were recovered by the Sheriff’s Office

Vanvorst was arrested for was arrested for the two counts of Petit Larceny for two separate incidents on May 3, where he stole a trailer and a go-kart, both in the Town of Palermo. Both the go-kart and trailer were recovered by the Sheriff’s Office.

Vanvorst was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle for an incident in the Town of Oswego that occurred on June 1, where he took a Uhaul vehicle from a business without permission.

Vanvorst was previously arrested on June 1, May 3 and February 28 by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 1, Vanvorst was charged with two counts of Petit Larceny.  One count was from an April 4 incident in the Town of Scriba where he stole a camper.  The other count was from a May 12 incident, also in the Town of Scriba, where he stole a trailer.  Both the camper and the trailer were recovered by the Sheriff’s Office.

On May 3, Vanvorst was arrested for two counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the third degree and one count of Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.   During this incident Vanvorst was driving a rented Uhaul which he was found to be committing crimes with.

On February 28, Vanvorst was arrested for Petit Larceny in a wooded area in the Town of Scriba after he attempted to avoid police.  This charge stemmed from a February 14 incident where he stole from a store in the Town of Scriba.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office have been assisted by Fulton PD, Oswego PD and the New York State Police with the investigations into Vanvorst’s criminal activity.

Vanvorst has been arrested by other local agencies during this timeframe.

Vanvorst has been released on an appearance ticket following every arrest.

  2. These articles will disappear soon. Once Cuomo and the rest of the Democrats in NYS fully buy into defund police no one will be around to arrest anyone. So there won’t be any articles about people being arrested 25 times and released. We won’t be constantly reminded that these reforms are stupid. These justice reforms were just the groundwork to defund police. Everyone in office should be voted out in November! Criminals need to be arrested and held in jail. Remember the good old days when criminals were treated as criminals? The courts are there to sort it out.
