“We’ve all banded together, with the help of ESA, to start this annual tournament to aid us in assisting the many programs we support in the Fulton community,” Stanard said. “Sponsorship from local businesses and individuals has been overwhelming and heartwarming. We know we’ll have great participation and be able to help so many deserving organizations and individuals as a result.

“All golfers will receive a certificate for a complimentary club from Warrior Custom Golf and there are cash prizes for the first three teams: $600 for first place; $400 for second place; and $300 for third place. In addition, we have a $15,000 cash Hole-in-one contest and three bonus holes with the chance to win a Sharp LCD Flat Screen TV, Callaway Big Bertha irons, or domestic round trip airfare for two.

“We also have a putting contest, longest drive contest for men and women, a closest to the pin contest and straightest drive contest.

“Hole and tee sponsorships are still available for $100 each and teams are $300 each. Registration or sponsorship information is available by calling me at 593-0646 or e-mailing me at [email protected]. Team registration and hole/tee sponsorships are due by July 21 and the tournament is limited to the first 25 teams.”

Among the many organizations served by Fulton Lions, Kiwanis, Rotary and Sunrise Rotary are: Kiwanis Kid Haven Baseball, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Fulton Public Library, Fulton Wrestling Club, Fulton Youth Soccer, Hockey and Basketball; YMCA Speed Demons, Fulton Salvation Army, Rotary International Humanitarian and Disaster Relief programs, eyeglasses and hearing aids for Fulton residents, Catholic Charities Food Pantry, Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society, and many more.

In addition to ESA, other event sponsors include Fulton Savings Bank, Chirello Advertising, Gosch Supply, Huhtamaki, Johnson’s Propane, Fulton NAPA Auto Parts, Pathfinder Industries, Suncatchers Tanning Salon, Chris Nelson Insurance, Joe Bush’s Collision, and Foster Funeral Home.
