Fulton YMCA Launches ‘Accentuate the Y’ Gala Auction, 93Q’s Amy Robbins to Emcee Event

The Fulton Family YMCA is introducing “Accentuate the Y”, a fundraising event to auction off unique, hand painted, hand made works of art, it was announced by Irene Southard, event chair. The gala auction is Friday, June 11 at the Fulton Polish Home. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

“This is similar to our earlier auctions,” Southard said. This year’s fundraiser, with the support of the Board of Directors and employees of the Fulton Family YMCA, will again be showcasing the flourishing creative talents of many local craftspeople and artists, but with different media. Among the items will be ‘repurposed’ small tables and chairs.  The final works of art will be auctioned off at the Accentuate the Y Gala, Friday, June 11, at the Fulton Polish Home.”

Emcee for this year’s event is 93Q radio morning show celebrity Amy Robbins.

She and partner Ted Long have been recognized for the last ten years by the Syracuse New Times Readers Poll as “Best Local Radio Personalities.” Amy is a twenty-two year veteran of the Syracuse radio market and a graduate of Ithaca College School of Communications with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

“Among the local artists whose work will be featured are Sandy Clift, Amy Johnston, Tammy Wood, Amy Ambuske, Janet Weldin, Margaret Rusaw, Anna Clarke, and Lisa Davis.
