The public is invited to join us Saturday, June 7th from 10am to 4pm for a day of Radio Control flying fun at historic Fort Ontario. The Hawks R/C Junior Aviators Radio Control flying club will be hosting their 2nd annual “Junior Aviators Day” at Fort Ontario in Oswego New York. Special guest “Kyle Stacy”, a 12 year old national R/C Helicopter competitor from Rochester NY. will be on hand to entertain you with his incredible and extreme 3D flying style set to music.

The day will focus on kids and model aviation with aircraft displays and flying demonstrations of all kinds of Radio Control model aircraft flown by R/C pilots from the Hawks, the OVM club, the Finger Lakes Air Pirates and from other central NY clubs. There will be plenty of opportunities for kids and young adults to try some hands-on flying of an R/C trainer aircraft under the guidance of an experienced Hawks program instructor. Although the day is geared to the kids, adults will also have opportunities throughout the day as well to try their hand at piloting an R/C aircraft. Experienced miniature aircraft pilots of all categories are encouraged to stop by and fly with us at this beautiful and unusual location. There will be open flying most of the day. Pilots must be Academy of Model Aeronautics members or equivalent. This event is also a fundraiser for the Hawks youth program so bring you appetite.

The Hawks program is a not-for-profit 501(c)3, youth oriented, R/C flight training program located here in Fulton NY. The program is provided free of charge to local youth in the greater Oswego County area. Hawks flight training takes place at the Oswego Valley Modelaires R/C flying club field on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during June, July, and August. The OVM field is located behind the Don Butler Youth Soccer fields off Chase Rd. in Fulton. The Hawks are funded in part by the NY State Office of Children & Family Services & Oswego City – County Youth Bureau. Junior Aviators Day is sponsored in part by Redneck R/C hobbies of Fulton NY. and is brought to you in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation – Central Region,
