The signs restricting snowmobiling that are placed on the outskirts of the City of Fulton should be permanently removed. There is a main Corridor trail, that approaches the edge of the city limits, and the snowmobile traffic that approaches the businesses would be a help to them, in terms of revenue. Fulton should talk with the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce, in regards to allowing snowmobile, AND ATV traffic, to use city businesses, on a trail system. This could be further coordinated with the area snowmobile, and ATV clubs. Revenue is what this is all about, and Fulton is sorely lacking in this area. Why not look into something that could add to this revenue?
The only thing that IS plentiful in Fulton is snow. We don’t have a ski hill, and we deliberately ostrasize the snowmobilers.
What’s up with that? Check out the Adirondacks and Tug Hill – they make the snowmobilers welcome, and in turn reap the financial benefits.
It would be nice to see Fulton do the same.
