GRANBY, NY – The county Cause and Origin Team is investigating the cause of an overnight house fire in the town of Granby.
Units were called to respond to 502 county Route 55, Granby, according to a spokesperson for Oswego County E-911. The fire was reported at 12:32 a.m.
Jason J. Martin is listed as the homeowner on the county’s Real Property Database, however, the 911 spokesperson could not confirm if the Martin family resides at the property.
“It is in the Cody fire district,” the spokesperson said. Volney, Phoenix, Lysander and Granby fire departments were called in to assist.
“The Cause and Origin team was also called in and is investigating the cause,” the spokesperson noted. He said a cause has not been reported back to E-911.
Though the residents were home at the time, everyone managed to escape the home. Menter ambulance was on the scene and transported one of the residents to A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital with smoke inhalation, the spokesperson said.
“There was moderate damage to the home,” he added.
The fire was reported as knocked down at 12:57 a.m. By 3:13 a.m., all units were back in service.
