Cicero Woman Injured, Arrested After Morning Crash

HASTINGS, NY – A Cicero woman is hospitalized this morning with injuries after an early morning motor vehicle accident in the town of Hastings.

Courtney L. Kuzawski, 24, of 6016 Misty Ridge Lane, Cicero, is also facing charges of driving while intoxicated, speed not reasonable and prudent, and failure to use designated lane, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office.

Police arrested Kuzawski at University Hospital at approximately 3:01 a.m., today after investigating a motor vehicle accident that took place on county Route 4 in Hastings.

According to police, Kuzawski had been operating a 2003 Ford on county Route 4 when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the north side of the roadway and strike a mailbox. The collision caused the vehicle to spin, striking a tree broadside before continuing until striking an earth embankment, police said.

Kuzawski was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Syracuse where she is listed in fair condition this morning, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Kuzawski is slated to appear in Hastings Town Court at a later date. Police said the matter remains under investigation at this time. missing or outdated ad config
