A father and son from Fulton were injured in the North Country in a head-on crash with a van.
It happened, according to State Police, at a little after noon on Tuesday along Route 3 about a mile west of Star Lake. Star Lake is about an hour east of Watertown.
Police say that a van driven by Genemichael Lester, 21, of Evans Mills had just pulled around a tractor trailer into the oncoming lane of traffic in order to pass it.
In the van with Lester were six other Kirby vacuum cleaner salesmen.

But Peter Holmes, 32, of Fulton was driving his Ford F-150 in that oncoming lane. His father, Lester K. Holmes, 67, was in the passenger seat.
WWNY-TV reports that Holmes drove onto the right shoulder of the road to try to avoid Lester’s van, but the two vehicles hit head-on.
All nine people were hurt. Lester suffered critical injuries.
Peter Holmes reported suffering back pain, while Lester Holmes suffered a cut to his head and reported some general pain.
