Friends of History Plans Fundraiser at Mimi’s Aug. 26

FULTON, NY – Mark your calendars – Wednesday (August 26) calls for a meal at Mimi’s, 201 North Second St., Fulton.

For everyone that presents a coupon to their waitress on Wednesday, Mimi’s will donate ten percent of the total bill to Friends of History.

Friends of History is directly correlated to the Pratt House Museum of Fulton and most of its fundraiser proceeds go to a general fund to benefit the museum.

The next three big projects the group has planned for the house with help from fundraiser earnings include redoing the front porch, painting the house and trim and fixing a drainage problem at the back of the house.

However, “This particular fundraiser is for the scholarship program we started three years ago. Every year a worthy senior gets a scholarship award from us for excellence in history and community involvement,” said Pratt House manager/executive secretary Sue Lane.

Anyone interested in obtaining a coupon can pick one up at the Pratt House or there will be coupons available at Mimi’s the day of the fundraiser.

With fundraisers and community support leading factors behind Fulton’s Pratt House Museum, Friends of History looks forward to another meaningful event to benefit the preservation of Fulton’s history.
