FULTON, NY – Earlier this week, a water main break in the City of Fulton left specific customers in a boil water advisory dependent on proximity to the location of the water main break.
City officials have announced that such advisory has been lifted after testing from a state certified laboratory has deemed the water safe.
Read the official announcement below:
City of Fulton water customers along State Route 481 and Academy Street affected by the water main break near Canalview Mall on State Route 481 were notified on Monday, February 12, 2018 of a potential problem of contaminated drinking water and were advised to first boil their water before using it.
We are pleased to report that laboratory testing of samples taken from the area on February 15 and 16 yielded NO RESULTS OF CONTAMINATED WATER and it is no longer necessary to boil the water before using it.
We apologize for any inconveniences we may have caused you and thank you for your patience.
