FULTON – Chilly air and cold wisps of wind didn’t stop people from enjoying all the autumn fun to be had at the second annual Fulton Fall Festival held yesterday, October 8.

Hosted by the Fulton Special Events Committee, the free event was held along Lake Neatahwanta at Recreation Park in Fulton.

Grassy walkways filled with vendors selling bountiful wares, mixed wonderfully together with the smell of warm food, spiced cider and apples. Assorted pumpkins, rows of colorful mums and live musical entertainment filled the breezy lake front as people strolled by.

Some unusual and creative groups also came out to encourage and support those less fortunate and lend a helping hand in all of the fall fun; Upward Graphics and Lake Ontario Broom Riders were two of those groups .

Upward Graphics, a Fulton based business that specializes in screen printing, embroidery and car wrapping are raffling off a sporty 2002 Porsche, proceeds to benefit Victory Transformation  and Desens House.

VictoryTransformation is a Christian based organization that provides emergency food, housing, heat, etc. for people in need.

Desens House is a faith based community helping women with issues related to addiction and recovery.

Kathy McMonagle-Rich is the founder of Lake Ontario Broom Riders.

In describing her organization she said, “What we do is we dance for donations, and we pick a charity every year. And this year we happened to pick Erin’s Angels for our charity.”

McMonagle-Rich says that every year they’ll pick a new charity, holding events from spring through November.

Erin’s Angels is for children from low income and disadvantaged families providing food to aid in their growth and development.
