FULTON – Mayor Deana Michaels announced today that as of June 10, City Hall with be open to public access.

Effective June 10, City Hall will Open to Public Access. For the safety and well-being of the community and the employees, we encourage routine questions be sent via email or called in to the specific office or department. In our efforts to support a safe municipal building experience, we are encouraging visits to city hall be limited to necessary in-person transactions only. With your convenience and safety in mind, we will continue to accept payments by mail, payment drop box at the PD entrance and at Community Bank.
Upon entrance to city hall, all visitors will go through a COVID-19 safety checkpoint area. Facemasks are required to enter the building. A series of general safety questions and posters will be posted for visitors to review and hand sanitizer will be available and required to be used. Visitors will be required to sign in and out. Social distancing markers have been placed in the building to assist in keeping within the recommended 6 ft. distance of others. Please utilize the many hand sanitizing stations within the building during your visit.
Please note, the court area at city hall is now manned by the NYS Court Police. Visitors to city hall will see changes in the court security check-in. We thank everyone in advance for your cooperation.
Hours of Operation for city offices will be 8am-5pm
• Entrance will be the large double doors to the left when entering the “river side” of the building
After Hour visits
• permitted through the Police Department “ river side” entrance
• All visitors will be buzzed in, required to sign in and follow the safety protocols listed
Drop Box is available 24/7
• Located in the vestibule area of the Police Department “ river side” entrance

Just a suggestion, In the video and in the above article I failed to hear or see that there will be a greeter at the entrance to ask the questions and guide people and maybe offer a mask if the person entering doesn’t have one. Just a suggestion, these costs to do so should be in any State or Federal refund. Lets keep everyone safe and provide a service.
