The City of Fulton honored police officers and those officers who have died in the line of duty with a proclamation recently.
The proclamation notes that May 15th is Peace Officers Memorial Day and is part of a week of observances for fallen officers held in Washington, D.C.
Al Deline of the Fulton Police and Fire Commission, the appointed committee that oversees the police and fire departments, told members of the Common Council that “we’re all extremely proud of our Fulton Police Department. They’re excellent in every way.”
“Our police department is one of the best known in the state,” agreed Alderman Pete Franco, who is a retired Deputy Chief of the department.
