FULTON, NY – Two Fulton men were arrested Friday and charged with sexually-related crimes.
Angel A. Velez, 38, of 1100 Emery St., Apt. H5, Fulton, was charged with third-degree rape and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigator Michael Batstone charged Velez in connection with allegations that he engaged in sexual conduct with a 15-year-old female at his home June 2. Police said the actions were injurious to the mental, physical or moral welfare of the child.
Also arrested Friday, Albert R. Mendez, 18, of 1100 Emery St., Apt. 122, Fulton, was charged with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said Mendez is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse June 11 with a 15-year-old while at 1100 Emery Street, Apt. 326, Fulton.
According to Lieutenant Jeff Kinney, while both cases involved 15-year-old female victims, the crimes were unrelated.
