Fulton PD Says Farewell to Newest Retiree

FULTON, NY – After nearly twenty years in service, Lieutenant Kenneth Sheldon has entered into a well deserved retirement, FPD Investigator Mike Curtis said.

Beginning his career with the department in 1999 as a patrol officer, he was then promoted to Investigator, Sergeant, and then Lieutenant.

Sheldon most recently occupied the position of Lieutenant in charge of patrol.

He also served the department as the School Resource Officer and the Sergeant in charge of the Criminal Investigations Division at times throughout his career.

“During the 17 years that I have worked with Lt. Sheldon he has proven himself to be a police officer of high standard and a leader among his peers. It was an honor to work with and know him during that time,” Curtis said.

As Sheldon joins the many FPD retirees, a batch of new recruits are undergoing training at the academy to become Fulton’s newest officers. missing or outdated ad config
