Apparently, it’s not cold or snowy enough in New York City for ABC.
The news network sent reporter Gio Benitez and a crew to Fulton Wednesday to show the entire country what heavy snowfall and deep cold looks like.
The crew set up in the parking lot of Wendy’s for two brief live shots on Good Morning America. They came back for a live hit for Wednesday night’s edition of World News Tonight in a segment focusing on weather across the country.
For his morning appearance, Benitez made our sudden deep freeze visible, by pouring water on a t-shirt, which froze stiff within seconds.

I’m guessing he had a ‘heads up’ because David Muir formerly from Channel 5 is now with ABC in NY.
In any case, it’s true, we are one of the cold capitasl of the world this weekend! At least in NYS.
Pray it warms up for WARM-UP in February. A bit o’ snow, but warmer so we can get people willing to make snow sculptures, and race. Today, I wouldn’t recommend sending people (or your pets, folks!), out there for more than a minute or two.
I was born in Fulton in the 1950s. It’s great fun to read about the snow and cold.
