LYSANDER – The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office released the name of the victim who was killed in Friday’s logging accident in the town of Lysander. Deputies identified the victim as 55-year-old Scott Freeman of Hannibal.
Deputies say Freeman was in the wooded area behind a residence located at 9171 Prine Road where he had been cutting down some trees when one of the trees broke free and fell on top of him.
Freeman suffered a traumatic injury and was alone at the time of incident which is said to have occurred sometime after 10 a.m. that day.
He was discovered at approximately 3:10 pm, by a family friend who went to check on him.
