FULTON – Mayor Deana Michaels announced today that following the state’s approval for Central New York to begin Phase Three of reopening tomorrow, June 12, she has authorized for playgrounds in the city to reopen as well.

Additionally, the Fulton Public Library will begin offering curbside pickup June 15.

Michaels issued the following statement:

“Effective June 12th, the Governor has approved the reopen of phase 3 in the CNY region. This phase pertains to restaurants and personal care services. Please visit www.forward.ny.gov for guidance.

Starting Friday June 12th, I have authorized playgrounds to begin reopening. Our crews will be out putting up swings, hoops and cleaning the areas for use starting Saturday June 13th. Please enjoy the playgrounds safely and remember to practice good hygiene while doing so.

I’ve spoken with the Executive Director of the Fulton Library. Their board of directors has made the decision to slowly reopen to the public. Starting Monday June 15th, the library will offer curbside pick up. Customers can call 315-592-5159 or go online to reserve a book. Please contact the library directly or visit their Facebook page for more details.

The community has been extremely patient and cooperative during this pandemic. As we slowly re-open we are continually seeing respect for one another and our community as a whole Great job Fulton!”

  1. When are you going to announce a new animal control officer? Skunks are everywhere in the 4th ward. Be careful going near a play ground until this problem is addressed.
